Arocol: simple money guides for India

Welcome to Arocol!

Arocol is a personal finance blog for Indians. I write simple, honest guides on saving, investing, SIPs, insurance, loans, credit scores, tax, PF and money safety, in plain English and without jargon.

The goal is simple: to help you make better money decisions for yourself and your family.

About the author

Hi, I’m Cayayti, the person behind Arocol.

I’m not a CA, a financial planner or a SEBI-registered adviser. I’m a regular salaried person in India who had to learn about money the hard way, and I write about what I learn, check and go through myself.

A few things I’ve been through, which I’ve written about openly:

  • My PF stopped reaching my account. My employer deducted PF from my salary, but it didn’t show up in my EPFO passbook for months. I filed a grievance, it got closed, and I had to learn the whole process step by step. I shared it all in my EPFO grievance story and the guide on PF deducted but not credited.
  • I lost money to a Telegram trading scam. When I was new to trading, I believed a “double your money” group and paid ₹5,000. I reported it on the national cybercrime portal the same day. I wrote about it in my Telegram trading scam story so you don’t make the same mistake.
  • I’ve been blogging since 2018. Arocol is the blog I care about most, because money mistakes hurt real families.

That’s why Arocol focuses so much on everyday problems and safety, not on “get rich” tips.

Why I started Arocol

Most of us were never taught how money works. We learn from friends, relatives, bank agents and social media, and the advice often clashes. Friends say stocks, relatives say LIC and FDs, and Instagram says crypto. Many people end up with the wrong insurance policy, a costly loan or investments they don’t understand.

I started Arocol in 2026 to explain one topic at a time, show the real numbers in rupees, and point out what to watch out for, so you can decide with confidence instead of guessing.

Editorial policy: how every article is made

  • Official sources first. Every rule, limit and rate is checked against official websites like RBI, SEBI, NPCI, EPFO, the Income Tax Department, IRDAI and AMFI, and I link to them inside the article so you can check them yourself.
  • Real experience, clearly marked. When something happened to me, I say so. When an example is made up to explain a point, it’s written as an example, with simple rupee numbers.
  • No fake reviews or fake results. I never invent returns, cashback amounts, testimonials or qualifications.
  • No stock tips. Arocol explains how things work. It never tells you which share to buy or sell.
  • AI is a helper, not the author. Some articles show how to use AI tools for budgeting or safety. I write and check every article myself, and I remind readers never to share PAN, Aadhaar, bank details or OTPs with any AI tool.
  • Kept up to date. Tax slabs, interest rates and rules change often. I review guides after Budgets and big rule changes.
  • Corrections. If you spot a mistake or an old rule, please tell me. I’ll check it and fix it as soon as I can.

What you’ll find here

My promise to readers

  • I will never ask for your bank details, OTP, PIN or passwords.
  • I don’t sell investment products or take money to publish a recommendation.
  • I tell you the downsides of a product, not just the benefits.
